Mark is the co-founder and chief technology officer at Taffrail, a fintech that delivers automated digital advice to investors through banks and brokerages. Over more than two decades in the industry, he has contributed to some of the most-visited sites on the Web — including The New York Times, The Financial Times, Bloomberg, and CNN — co-founded an innovation lab inside a global financial services firm, and served as a web designer for the U.S. Navy's Space and Warfare Command. At Taffrail, he draws on all of it to build technology that helps everyday investors make better financial decisions.

Mark's desire to build has roots at home. His father, a dedicated craftsman and woodworker, taught Mark and his brother to measure twice and cut once, to safely use a radial arm saw, and to straighten nails. When his laptop is closed, Mark works with his wife on home renovations or joins his oldest, Ben, in the woodshop. Their daughters, Josie and Coco, are artists in their own right — and it was Ben's many classes at SCS that first introduced the family to the Craft School.

He lives in Shelburne with his wife of more than 20 years, Jude, and their three children. Mark serves on the Craft School Board, is a member of the Shelburne Fire Department and sits on the Shelburne Firefighters' Association board, helps lead Shelburne Scout Troop 602, and coaches youth sports.
