Willow Stein
Shelburne, VT
Willow (they/she) is a quietly compulsive crafter and creator of oddities, whimsy, and experiments. Willow studied studio art and English at Middlebury College, and then got a Master’s of Social Work at UVM, all the while messing round with various art and craft interests and infatuations on the side. As a child, Willow made endless creatures and characters with craft supplies, fabric, natural and found materials, and, of course, clay. Once chastised by their father for ‘playing with clay all day’, Willow now embraces the joy of ceramic creativity, and loves teaching and supporting students to (re)connect with their own inner artists, the fun and play of making things, and the profound security that can come with bringing their own visions alive in the world.
