Shelburne Craft School Summer Camp

When will they open?

Summer camps will open February 2nd at noon.

What are they like?

All of our summer camps explore a wide range of mediums, for example pottery, woodworking, mosaics and mixed media. We place children into small groups and serve ages 5 to 13-year-olds each week. Your child will be partaking in true craft forms—learning the basics of woodworking, the art form of ceramics, the formation of mosaics, the inventive creative process of mixed media. Summer camps will take place in all of our studios—the woodshop, pottery studio, fiber studio and bunkhouse (multi-purpose). All children will have an opportunity to work in the same studios that the adults utilize the rest of the year.

What kind of child would you recommend attend?

Kids that love art. There is very little time spent that is not creating art. These camps were created by teaching artists who wished they’d had this summer camp when they were little.

What is your staff like?

We have a staff of adult teaching artists with full support and administrative staff. We keep our ratio of children to staff very low.

How fast did they fill last year?

In 30 minutes. This year we will have more sections and spaces in order to make the process smoother.

How canI make the process easier on myself?

In order to register on the 3rd, you will need a child profile. In order to create one, first you will need to make your own account by clicking "join" on our website. Next log-in and go to your dashboard. From here click the red button "add child crafter" and enter your child's information into the form.
