Mosaics made in a class at Shelburne Craft School

Following the closure of Inclusive Arts Vermont this summer, Shelburne Craft School is partnering with Champlain Community Services to offer craft classes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Beginning this fall, the school will host small, studio-based courses designed to foster creativity, connection, and joy through hands-on making.

The new program — launching with a six-week sampler of clay, weaving, fabric collage, and mosaics — reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and community partnerships. While not a replacement for Inclusive Arts, the initiative builds on its spirit, opening more space for creative expression and belonging on the craft school campus.
